When it come down to business, everythings tok abt money n profits. So when u do anything for ur work, dun make any mistakes, coz one is too much n can cost u deadly to pay. Recebtly ur company meet such situation. A client came to us , want us to design n print two huge banners, size a abt 5m plus by 5m plus... They will provide the graphics n we need to print 2 of tat size banners for them. After so many times (i believe is 3-4 times) of proofing, we show many crop actual n samples to them for their approval. They make changes to the color, layout blah blah blah... and when everything is finally finalise, we get their approval then send for actual printing. Do u hve any idea how big tat banner is, there is impossible to find a printer tat is 5m long so tat they can print the banner one straight go. We need to tile the design into three to print out the design. Then we will use durable n strong thread to sew them together. Do u hve any idea how much work n effort is required to do such a big banner task. When everything is done, we sent the banners out for installation. Upon fixing the banner up, the client found something wrong n call to bring down the banner n reject back. They realised tat the two banners, one got logo, the other dun hve. And oso the banner wif logo, the logo word is wrong oso, should hve a E at the back... Tis create some confusion n tension to the production plp. Coz they r the one carrying tat stupid heavy banner n install, n hve to remove it when the client reject it. Ur sales colleague immediately call back to ur graphics n wan us to check whether isit ur graphics team side tat forget to add the logo blah blah blah... if it is reali ur mistake, we will become a sin in the company. So we immediately dig back ur proof copies tat we sent to ur client previously. For every proof we send to ur client, we printed two copies. One is for the client to keep, while the other is kept by us. We dig back these proof n found tat since the first time tat we send the proof to the client to see, their logo is alreali wrong, yet they did not realise it n call us to make changes. When everything is finalise, product is printed n installed, then they say logo is wrong. Tis is ridiculous, n is so obivous who is at fault. They oso try to push the blame by saying tat the color is oso wrong, not the color tat we approve. How my boss will settle tis client, is up to him to decide. I here can onli urge my frenz. Those working, pls be alert n dun make any mistakes tat can cause ur company to suffer great loss.

Haha... If u see my previous blog entry, u noe tat now i am doing a NUS banner. I "chong" everything to be done today, n printed out tat huge banner in the morning. The other big smaller banners, oso part of the NUS job, is not handed to me. So i believe tat my tis weekend is saved. No OT for me to do in tis holiday seasons.
