Hmmm... after so longgggg of un-interesting blog entries... Yes, finally Jiro is back wif tis fabulous entry... Titled as "Seniority"!
Yesterday i punched in for work in my company at a pretty early timing... Onli had veri veri veri insufficient sleep after the previous working day. Working wif more plp in the day, more chit-chats, and of course, the working speed decreases lah... Anyway, tats not my main point.
Yesterday, engaged in a gossip chat wif my GM(Evelyn) & Sales colleague(Laura) @ Eve's room for almoz half an hour. Initially, Eve called mi in, to question mi if i noticed anyone entering into Laura's room(Now become her personal room liao) yesterday... Coz Laura said she locked her door yesterday be4 leaving, yet discovered it as unlocked & door-opening when she arrived in the morning... Hearing tis, my head is question marks question marks ("???")... Haha... Den i told them tat it's actually mi, the one tat enter into tat room last nitz, to borrow Laura's thumb drive. However, the door is not locked at tat time... The lock, which i believed is, not functioning well ever since "N" ages liao...
The above paragraph is juz an opening topic... Haha... From tat, ur chats proceed wif my doubts to clarify wif Eve, regarding my tis month's OT pay, which is veri veri veri different from the amt tat i calculated for myself. I told her, my Manager told mi tis rating... So i calculated based on tis rating... Blah blah blah... Den she told mi tat sometimes, she feel my Manager as a veri in-competent Manager... A veri blur manager, tat onli carries the title n do nothing... Tat's why she warned mi if anytime, tat my Manager told mi wif some strange set of regulations, make sure i can, if i can, clarify wif her first be4 i reali trusted into tat set of rules...
Yes! For "N" months ago... I get veri agitated, when things doesn't turn out to be the result tat i expected, as derived from my Manager's set of rules... So, i do come to tis awareness tat i do not need to trust every word tat my Manager says all the time... Half of those rules had become rubbish into my brain liao...
Toking abt why i need to enter into Laura's room tat nitz to borrow thumb drive...!!! It was becoz nowadays, i had been experiencing problems wif accessing the network after mid-nitz... When mid-nitz hours struck, i can onli access my printer computers thru one n onli computer... Tat nitz... I did not switch on tat computer... Feeling lazy to switch on tat computer, needing to transfer my file(Huge file size) from my Mac to tat computer, and from tat computer to my printer computer... I decided to borrow Laura's thumb drive to directly transfer the file to my printer computer... Much faster n easy... Haha...
Upon hearing tis network problem... Eve is a bit aghast... She says i should feedback tis problem to my superior... Since now my Manager is gone for reservice, den i should feedback tis to the second in-charge personal. I shall named tis person as Temp. I explained to Eve tat, for such problems... Unless i had witness, willing to accompany mi until mid-nitz to judge tis problem, n try to solve it, else plp won't believe mi... It juz like i left a note, telling plp tis problem... And when plp try to solve the problem in the day, they say there's no such problem... Den tis will aroused plp's suspicion on mi, tat i'm telling lies... I hving tis experience "N" months ago... Regardling HP printer not funtioning well wif the file transfering at late nitz...
Eve said tat i should feedback tis problem to Temp. He's now the person in charge of the whole department... Getting tis amt of money, he should be responsible for the whole department functioning... Den Eve complain to mi abt tat "CD-used up case", which happened few days ago... Eve urgently need a blank CD, and she went to Graphics, trying to borrow it... However Temp told her tat the blank CD is no more, finish liao... Eve got veri angry... She highlighted strongly to Temp, tat whenever the CD or any stocks in charge by the Graphics, is abt to finish using, the person tat is carrying the "Manager" in title, should quickly feedback tis to her, so tat she had sufficient time to make stock purchase n arrive juz in time, be4 the old stock is finished using...
Since now u r getting tis amt, of course u muz do wat a "Manager" is supposed to do den... In tis chit chat, Eve kept on mentioning tis moneytary amt stuffs... Tis makes mi curious n ask her if Temp got a pay raise...??? Of coz Eve did not tell mi, but judging from her expression, the answer had become veri affirmative... Its juz left the answer, increase by how much as a mystery...

I feel like not juz onli mi, but my department oldy peronnels, and "other department" personnels, they r not staisfied wif Manager, handing his Title to Temp, for in-charging while being away for reservice... Come on, i tink tis will be natural for u to tink it in tis way... When it comes to seniority ranking... And it is 3 steps be4 coming to u, yet u get tis authority, of coz the first 3 steps won't be happy abt tis... Temp onli work in tis company for 4-5 months onli lei... I'm actually quite dumbfounded when i feel "other colleagues" is oso not feeling quite happy wif this step-skiping play... I feel tat my GM now, got her words too harsh on Temp, whenever she speaks to Temp... Laura, which i tink tis is how she feels, will be taking long time, be4 she can entrusted Temp to fix up the network problem tat onli occur at mid-nitz... Tat y she juz highlighed tis problem to Boss by sending him a message, n requested a thumb drive for nitz shift... And Boss agreed... And haha... I pocketed one thumb drive into my possession juz like tat wif the help from Laura... Haha...
Of coz, when Eve wants to pass mi the thumb, she muz oso follow the book, to pass to the "Manager", den let the "Manager" passed to mi... And while doing so, to instructing the Temp regardling tis Thumb thingy possession, their conversation held juz behind where i sit at tat moment. Eve speaks rather loud, n to wat i tink, the words abit too harsh on Temp... Haiz... And of coz tis thumb landed in my pocket in the final stage... But!!! Can i dun want tis thumb...??? It's 512MB onli... I want a 1.00GB Thumb...!!!
Since when i tink Temp gets a bit airy(Meaning of on airs)... Believed mi, wat i meant is juz abit... juz abit!!! There is tis computer, which onli log-in into the Manager stocking taking database... I ask him if he noes the password... Yes, he noe, but he answer y should he let mi noe it... My head is like suddenly got several "algal" veins popping out...
I saw WS help checking Su's CD regarding a new job from Su last morning... WS says he will let Temp handle tis new job, since now Temp is almoz handling Su's job... And from wat i see, when WS is checking the file, i identify tis job as a difficult job... Coz ever since till now, i don't like to work wif illustrator files... Whenever i see illustrator, i will convert them to freehand if the situation allows mi to do so... So, when i see tis job... I got tis rejecting feel, best is tis job don't land into my hands...
And when i see Temp came in, see Su's job, den slot in back into ur Greeny job folders stand like nobody business, i feel abit strange... Tats y i ask Temp isit tis job got problem...??? Temp gave mi tis answer, no job sheet, den don't do anything... My head suddenly feel expanding... I am tinking since when did Temp had tis kind of attitude, similar to my Manager... I even send message to WS, asking him y...??? And WS is juz siting two seats away from mi...
Tat day is a Saturday! Half working day onli! And if Boss did not come in, of coz Su can't issue u the job sheet wif Boss's signature... Muz wait until Monday den can issue the job sheet... And tis job muz go out on Wednesday... Muz we reali do onli when we see the job sheet, n tat will be Monday liao...??? Tis job came from ITE, n ITE is one of ur requent customer... I don't see any problem to proceed doing tis job first be4 we got the job sheet lor... And if Temp die die oso muz see job sheet den do job, muz Su argue wif him, den send Boss a message, n wait till Boss returned wif a approving message, den Temp is willing to do tis job...!!! I find tis is a veri wrong attitude n working culture... I see tis job as not a simple task, n may need to take some time to do the proofing... And if we muz delay until Monday to do the proofing... Haha... Tis will again become a veri last minute job...
