Yes, I watch DeathNote yesterday liao...
Awesome indeed...
The movie followed quite closely to the original comics... Tis point makes mi quite satisfied wif tis movie... The now & after events r almoz similiar to the comics...
L appeared out quite late in tis movie... And when L show his face... His face, his eccentric funny-little actions... Wow... All r so similar to the comics... Like cut out version from the comics... During his first appearance, dark eye rings, pale white face... And r so similar to the L from comics... Wearing too-long pants... While standing, scratching one foot using another foot... Blah blah blah... All of his these actions, I am so wow...
The onli thing i noticed abt tis L, which i tink is not coming out from the comics... The movie L loves to eat sweet stuffs... Like donuts, sweets, candy, chocolate, tea wif many sugar cubes... Somehow i did not catch such habits from the comics L, but rather from his successors... Anyway... Tis extra add-in feature of L, works out quite good to the audience... Got one part, he is piercing some candies, to form a candy-yakitori stick... Den he offered one stick to the police chairman... The whole cinema audience laugh out loud... Haha...
When i go to watch tis movie on Thursday afternoon... Wow... The whole place is almoz full of plp... I can't believe, for tat timing, for such a movie, no big shots acting inside, yet the movie can still attract so many plp to come n watch... Tis shows how famous can DeathNote be in the comics industry...
Somehow or rather... The person acting as Light... Hmmm... I still dun find him doing quite good for tis role... He lacks the confidence aura tat should be coming out from him, since he is the kira... His face is too round, like a ball... At certain angle shooting, i had the impression tat he is a fatty guy... Tis impression totally makes him so un-cool for tis role...
However, the only point i can compliment abt him is tis... During the first encounter wif the Death eater... Light, in the comics appeared to be abit insanely shock looking/staring... And tis guy acting, for tat scene, somehow able to hit tis acting point n make tis scene taken veri well... Tis is the time when i sudden hve the impression... Hmmm, he reali look like Light... (*cackle*)
Before i watch tis movie... I already noe tis is a sequel movie... The second one shall be coming soon in December... So for those tat still dun noe... Tis movie will ended wif a half suspend story... And the real battle between L & Light shall begin only in the next movie, which will be coming in December...
The name for the second movie is called, DeathNote - The Final Name... Somehow or rather, i had the impression, the movie story will end in tis movie part 2... Meaning L will triumphin in the end... In the original comics script, L lost in the match... And if the second movie played as such, showing L wining the match... Tis means the movie is changing the story... And tis is true... somehow i will be abit disappointed... I still wish the movie will follow closely to the original comics script... So tat the character N will hve the opportunity to turn up for Movie 3 etc...
Misa will play an important role in the coming part... In tis sequel, when the Death eater is smiling while looking at Misa on the television screen... The reason he smiles, can be either he saw Misa's name onli, meaning he can't see her age... Or the Death eater managed to see another Death eater standing behind Misa... Tat is why he gave the wick smile at tis scene... Haha...
Regardless... Tis movie is a good movie... 2 Hrs long hor...
